A person who is full of joy and happiness.

“Mendicants, when a mendicant has six things they’re full of joy and happiness in the present life, and they have laid the groundwork for ending the defilements. What six? It’s when a mendicant enjoys the teaching, meditation, giving up, seclusion, kindness, and non-proliferation. When a mendicant has these six things they’re full of joy and happiness in the present life, and they have laid the groundwork for ending the defilements.”
ภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๖ ประการ ย่อมเป็นผู้มากด้วยสุขและโสมนัสอยู่ในปัจจุบันเทียว และย่อมเป็นผู้ปรารภเหตุเพื่อความสิ้นไปแห่งอาสวะทั้งหลายด้วย ธรรม ๖ ประการอะไรบ้าง คือ ภิกษุในกรณีนี้
๑) เป็นผู้ยินดีในธรรม (ธมฺมาราโม)
๒) เป็นผู้ยินดีในการภาวนา (ภาวนาราโม)
๓) เป็นผู้ยินดีในการละ (อกุศล) (ปหานาราโม)
๔) เป็นผู้ยินดีในความสงบสงัด (ปวิเวการาโม)
๕) เป็นผู้ยินดีในความไม่พยาบาท (อพฺยาปชฺฌาราโม)
๖) เป็นผู้ยินดีในความไม่เนิ่นช้า (นิปฺปปญฺจาราโม)
ภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๖ ประการเหล่านี้แล ย่อมเป็นผู้มากด้วยสุขและโสมนัสอยู่ในปัจจุบันเทียว และย่อมเป็นผู้ปรารภเหตุเพื่อความสิ้นไปแห่งอาสวะทั้งหลายด้วย.
