Seeing the six internal sights as not-self, rebirth will be ended. (2)

“Mendicants, the eye is not-self. The cause and condition that gives rise to the eye is also not-self. Since the eye is produced by what is not-self, how could it be self?
The ear … nose … tongue … body … mind is not-self. The cause and condition that gives rise to the mind is also not-self. Since the mind is produced by what is not-self, how could it be self?
Seeing this, a learned noble disciple grows disillusioned with the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind. Being disillusioned, desire fades away. When desire fades away they’re freed. When they’re freed, they know they’re freed.
They understand: ‘Rebirth is ended, the spiritual journey has been completed, what had to be done has been done, there is no return to any state of existence.’”

“Bhikkhus, the eye is suffering. The cause and condition for the arising of the eye is also suffering. As the eye has originated from what is suffering, how could it be happiness?
“The ear is suffering…. The mind is suffering. The cause and condition for the arising of the mind is also suffering. As the mind has originated from what is suffering, how could it be happiness?
“Seeing thus … He understands: ‘… there is no more for this state of being.’”
ภิกษุทั้งหลาย ตาเป็นอนัตตา แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้ตาเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นอนัตตา ตาที่เกิดจากสิ่งที่เป็นอนัตตา จะเป็นอัตตาได้อย่างไร.
หูเป็นอนัตตา แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้หูเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นอนัตตา หูที่เกิดจากสิ่งที่เป็นอนัตตา จะเป็นอัตตาได้อย่างไร.
จมูกเป็นอนัตตา แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้จมูกเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นอนัตตา จมูกที่เกิดจากสิ่งที่เป็นอนัตตา จะเป็นอัตตาได้อย่างไร.
ลิ้นเป็นอนัตตา แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้ลิ้นเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นอนัตตา ลิ้นที่เกิดจากสิ่งที่เป็นอนัตตา จะเป็นอัตตาได้อย่างไร.
กายเป็นอนัตตา แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้กายเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นอนัตตา กายที่เกิดจากสิ่งเป็นอนัตตา จะเป็นอัตตาได้อย่างไร.
ใจเป็นอนัตตา แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้ใจเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นอนัตตา ใจที่เกิดจากสิ่งเป็นอนัตตา จะเป็นอัตตาได้อย่างไร.
ภิกษุทั้งหลาย อริยสาวกผู้ได้สดับแล้ว เห็นอยู่อย่างนี้ ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้ในตา ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้ในหู ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้ในจมูก ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้ในลิ้น ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้ในกาย ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้ในใจ เมื่อเบื่อหน่าย ย่อมคลายกำหนัด เพราะคลายกำหนัด ย่อมหลุดพ้น เมื่อหลุดพ้นแล้ว ย่อมมีญาณหยั่งรู้ว่าหลุดพ้นแล้ว ย่อมรู้ชัดว่า ชาติสิ้นแล้ว พรหมจรรย์อยู่จบแล้ว กิจที่ควรทำได้ทำเสร็จแล้ว กิจอื่นที่จะต้องทำเพื่อความเป็นอย่างนี้มิได้มีอีก ดังนี้.
