The benefits of establishing the perception of impermanence.

“Mendicants, seeing six benefits is quite enough to establish the perception of impermanence in all conditions without qualification. What six? ‘All conditions will appear to me as transient.’ ‘My mind will not delight anywhere in the world.’ ‘My mind will rise above the whole world.’ ‘My mind will incline to extinguishment.’ ‘My fetters will be given up.’ ‘I will achieve the ultimate goal of the ascetic life.’ Seeing these six benefits is quite enough to establish the perception of impermanence in all conditions without qualification.”
ภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุผู้พิจารณาเห็นอานิสงส์ ๖ ประการ ย่อมสมควรที่จะเข้าไปตั้งอนิจจสัญญาในสังขารทั้งปวงอย่างไม่จำกัดขอบเขต อานิสงส์ ๖ ประการอะไรบ้าง คือ
๑) สังขารทั้งปวง จักปรากฏโดยความเป็นของไม่มั่นคง
๒) ใจของเรา จักไม่ยินดีในโลกทั้งปวง
๓) ใจของเรา จักออกจากโลกทั้งปวง
๔) ใจของเรา จักน้อมไปสู่นิพพาน
๕) สังโยชน์ทั้งหลายของเรา จักถึงการละได้
๖) เราจักเป็นผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ที่ทำความเป็นสมณะอันยอดเยี่ยม
ภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุผู้พิจารณาเห็นอานิสงส์ ๖ ประการเหล่านี้แล ย่อมสมควรที่จะเข้าไปตั้งอนิจจสัญญาในสังขารทั้งปวงอย่างไม่จำกัดขอบเขต.
