The six sights are suffering.

“Mendicants, the eye is suffering. The cause and condition that gives rise to the eye is also suffering. Since the eye is produced by what is suffering, how could it be happiness?
The ear … nose … tongue … body … mind is suffering. The cause and condition that gives rise to the mind is also suffering. Since the mind is produced by what is suffering, how could it be happiness?
Seeing this … They understand: ‘… there is no return to any state of existence.’”

“Bhikkhus, the eye is suffering. The cause and condition for the arising of the eye is also suffering. As the eye has originated from what is suffering, how could it be happiness?
“The ear is suffering…. The mind is suffering. The cause and condition for the arising of the mind is also suffering. As the mind has originated from what is suffering, how could it be happiness?
“Seeing thus … He understands: ‘… there is no more for this state of being.’”
ภิกษุทั้งหลาย ตาเป็นทุกข์ แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้ตาเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นทุกข์ ตาที่เกิดจากสิ่งที่เป็นทุกข์ จะเป็นสุขได้อย่างไร หูเป็นทุกข์ แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้หูเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นทุกข์ หูที่เกิดจากสิ่งที่เป็นทุกข์ จะเป็นสุขได้อย่างไร จมูกเป็นทุกข์ แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้จมูกเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นทุกข์ จมูกที่เกิดจากสิ่งที่เป็นทุกข์ จะเป็นสุขได้อย่างไร ลิ้นเป็นทุกข์ แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้ลิ้นเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นทุกข์ ลิ้นที่เกิดจากสิ่งที่เป็นทุกข์ จะเป็นสุขได้อย่างไร กายเป็นทุกข์ แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้กายเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นทุกข์ กายที่เกิดจากสิ่งเป็นทุกข์ จะเป็นสุขได้อย่างไร ใจเป็นทุกข์ แม้เหตุปัจจัยที่ให้ใจเกิดขึ้น ก็เป็นทุกข์ ใจที่เกิดจากสิ่งเป็นทุกข์ จะเป็นสุขได้อย่างไร.
ภิกษุทั้งหลาย อริยสาวกผู้ได้สดับแล้ว เห็นอยู่อย่างนี้ ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้ในตา ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้ในหู ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้ในจมูก ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้ในลิ้น ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้กาย ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายแม้ในใจ เมื่อเบื่อหน่าย ย่อมคลายกำหนัด เพราะคลายกำหนัด ย่อมหลุดพ้น เมื่อหลุดพ้นแล้ว ย่อมมีญาณหยั่งรู้ว่าหลุดพ้นแล้ว ย่อมรู้ชัดว่า ชาติสิ้นแล้ว พรหมจรรย์อยู่จบแล้ว กิจที่ควรทำได้ทำเสร็จแล้ว กิจอื่นที่จะต้องทำเพื่อความเป็นอย่างนี้มิได้มีอีก ดังนี้.
